The Talatala shirt is a new silhouette in the collection. Black regular-fit cotton with a tone-on-tone satin panel running one side of the front, and a shorter curved hem that sits above the hip. The panel is barely there in flat light. In movement, it catches everything. The shirt that reveals itself as the evening shifts.

The Craft

Black cotton regular-fit with one-side satin panel stitched flush to the front face in a tone-on-tone finish. Curved apple cut hem, shorter at the front than the back. The panel adds texture without adding colour. Clean collar and cuff finish.

"The satin panel on The Talatala shirt is the detail that only shows itself when the light changes. Talatala is thorn in Samoan and Fijian. I thought about that when I designed the panel, the thorn that is invisible until you are close to it, or until you are moving. Then it is the only thing you see."
